I couldn't find the preschool curriculum I wanted, so I made it.
Hi! I’m Megan! I'm a Reading Specialist and Early Childhood Educator, but most importantly, I'm a mom who wanted to make learning fun at home.
I knew I wanted to homeschool my daughter, but I also knew she was too young for a formal, highly structured preschool curriculum (We started when she was 2 1/2).
I wanted something that introduced important early learning skills completely through play (with little setup). Something I could just quickly look at, get an idea, and go!
Something that included exposure to letters and numbers, but also movement, sensory play, creativity, outdoor time, social-emotional learning, life skills, and lots of opportunities to simply play. All of the other VERY important developmental areas that we do not want to overlook!
I couldn't find something that truly did all of that.
So I made it myself.
And that became A Gentle Year of Preschool: Learning Through Play at Home.
